... And so I survived my first Marathon. I must say it has been an excruciating experience. Never before have I felt so tired in my life to the extend that I suffered a severe leg cramps 10km to finish line. It was quite a humbling experience too, never ever take things for granted and that everything will take care of itself. Along the way I saw quite a number of runners that are better shape than me fall out of the race. Psychologically it did affect me in a way. The thought of giving up did cross my mind during the last 10km. Despite the fatigue and cramps I persevere, knowing some good friends will be cheering me on at the ending point. While my body still recuperating from the excruciating experience, my mind was thinking of the next Marathon. Hopefully this time I will do better... By the way next time around those friends that cheering me by the sideline will be running too, not necessarily the full 42.195km though. It will be fun.
